Khye Spelling His Name at 2 Years 9 Mths

Khye has improved tremendously in his speech, ever since he started talking after 2yo, with him repeating words after me at 25 mths, cheekily calling me 'money' instead of mummy, and knowing and reading numbers at 2 yrs 3 mth, and then recognizing the alphabet one month later
(although his pronunciation is not that clear yet).

And his latest milestone is spelling his own name. 

Just like the rest, I did not drill it into him. I put a sticker with his name on his water bottle which he brings to school, and he was reading the letter 'L I M Y I U K H Y E' and then he shouter 'Water'!

He assumed that was the spelling of the word 'water'. Haha.

And so a few nights ago when we were in bed, I told him 'L I M Y I U - K H Y E' means 'Lim Yiu-Khye', and he was so excited to repeat after me. After saying it about 3-4 times, he fell asleep.

The next day, I'd forgotten all about it and so I didn't mention it at all. 

The day after that, Khye woke up a bit earlier, and since we had some time in bed before preparing him for school, I asked him again if he can remember how to spell his name.

And this was what he told me in this short clip I managed to record.

Wow. wow. wow. Kids his age learn really fast.

But I'm glad he really loves learning, especially alphabet and numbers!
