The Silent Super Hubby

15 September 2012

Usually, once we mummies have babies, the hubby is neglected.

Our laptop wallpaper, mobile phone screensaver, profile pictures instagram updates and such are all about our babies. Not to mention the frequent tweets and status updates.

However, the excitement of a new baby does not make me love my hubby less. It is just that I have another extra person to love. I always feel that love cannot be divided, only multiplied!

Hubby is the silent super daddy.
He now becomes the primary caretaker of Shern, now that Khye is here. This means that he puts Shern to sleep at night and prepares Shern for playschool every morning, etc.
He is now the primary driver in the house, driving me to the hospital and gov clinic, and fetches Shern to and fro from playschool.
He also helps around with the baby - fetching wipes, preparing bath water, and even changing dirty nappies.
And he does all this on top of the usual work he has to do, he after all is the breadwinner in our family.

And at night, he even has time for the wifey. After our kids are asleep, it is our 'dating' time. We either catches up on each others daily updates, or we watches tvb series together. This is our quality time together as hubby and wifey.

I thank my lucky stars every day for having such a nice and loving hubby. Thank you for being The Silent Super Hubby!

Like I said, 'Love cannot be divided, only multiplied'....I love you, hubby!

Watching Our E-Session Video Again

I was watching our E-Session Video again, and was falling in love with it all over again! This video was taken in 2007 when we won the Photo and Video Lifestyle Session Contest by Ke Wynn from Whizarts & Kee from Weddingstory.

Although more than 3 years ago I could still remember how stiff we were, how unnatural we were when stood in front of a photographer & a videographer.
But it was really their professionalism that the photos and video turned out great. Great enough for us, that is!

For the e-session photos, for those interested, you can view them here.

For the video, I've embedded it here.

This video was taken in 2007 at Penang Botanical Gardens

I was still the giggly-schoolgirl then. So happy being engaged.
3 years down the road, I'm just an ordinary fat homemaker. Gah!

But I'm still so happy every time I finish watching this video. I'm sure Kee produces more canggih videos nowadays. This video is like ancient technology. Haha.

But because this video has the still-slim me and still-slim hubby being crazily in love, it is priceless to me! ;)

Marriage Is A Love Commitment

Loving someone is not easy. There are many sacrifices to make when it comes to love. You choose to make those sacrifices. Your heart aches. Tears flow. Time seems to crawl by when he is not around. But yet, there is this laughter. Giddiness in the head when he holds your hand. And nothing feels better than his arms around you.
Yes, it comes in a package. Love comes with tears and laughter.

People has their own understanding about true love. For me, love comes with responsibility and commitment. I do not believe in blinded love. I do not believe in one-sided love. However, I believe in eternal love.

I don't believe that people just fall in and out of love. Yes it happens, but is a gradual process. And it is the actions of both parties which determine it.

Marriage is a love commitment. The moment you say 'I do' is the moment which both parties have the responsibility to go through 'thick and think', 'in sickness or in health'. Alas, too many people forget this 'responsibility'. When you cheat on your partners, it means you are irresponsible.

I am lucky enough to marry my best friend. We dated for 5 years before we tied the knot. We have been married for almost 4 years. We are still in love as ever.
Yes, it is true that he is starting to grow wider in his tummy now. And I am no longer the 19 yo slim girl, but we will continue to hold hands 'til the end of days. We will continue to commit our love to each other.

Double 30

Yesterday was my parents' 30th Wedding Anniversary. Imagine being married for 30 gazillion years and still being so much in love.
Tomorrow is hubby's 30th birthday. He has always wanted to have RM1 M before his 30th birthday. Hmmm......

Today I Grew Stronger

I can't really remember the last time I cried. But today I did.

I realized that even though I am a very forgiving person, I am still someone who cannot forget.
Once the trust is broken, it is broken. You need to work damn hard to earn it back.

Today just re-confirms it.
I am much stronger today moving forward.

The Last Time I Remember...

The last time I remember, both of us are still in our twenties.
The last time I remember, we are both young adults.
The last time I remember, we are a newly married couple.

Now, one of us is going to be 30 this year. And another is approaching 30 soon.
Now, we are going to join the 'middle age' group.
Now, we have been married for 3+ years and we have a 9 month old son.

Gosh. I just realized that hubby and I are getting old. I mean, I am already 28 this year. Saying this, I also realized that hubby's birthday this year is going to make him 30!

And if you look at my hair properly, you can find strands of grey hair. And not to mention that I feel I am going bald soon as I find my hairs keep on dropping. It doesnt help when I have a son who keeps pulling my hair for fun.......arrghhhhh.....

Being Married. Staying Married.

9 December 2006

Many people view marriage as being tied down. Loss of freedom.
And worse still, some people treat marriage too lightly, and choose the easy way out through divorce.

Marriage is a special bond shared by two souls, who tie the wedding knot after promising to be companions of a lifetime.
It is not only the physical, but also the mental and spiritual unison of two souls.

I think a successful marriage is the understanding of what commitment truly is. To be committed to each other. Combined with love, faith and understanding. This is what marriage is to me.

Peter & I have been married for 3 years today. We are still trying our best as husband and wife to each other.

Frictions are inevitable. We deal with it. We learn from it.

Frictions make us stronger.

1st or 2nd Wedding Anniversary ?

It's gonna be a year since we our wedding dinner reception, and almost 2 yrs since we were legally married. Sigh...so should I say 1st or 2nd Wedding Anniversary?

Well, anyway, no matter 1st or 2nd wedding anniversary, we have decided to go back to our honeymoon destination to seal and to grow our love.

Tanjung Rhu Resort @ Langkawi took my breath away the moment I stepped into the resort last April. So we have decided to return there and celebrate our love.

However, we also wanted to try out a new place. We have chosen Casa Del Mar @ Langkawi after reading about the good reviews 'thru the net. Hope it won't disappoint us.

Win Win will also be following us there to shoot us and capture the moments...amazing huh?

So, Casa Del Mar and Tanjung Rhu Resort @ Langkawi are our wedding anniversary destination for 2008!

So if by that time I am not pregnant yet, we hope to conceive our little angel there....in the love nest ;D
