Shern Lost 4 Upper Teeth In Less Than A Month!

Shern at almost 6 1/2 yrs old - 23 November 2015

Shern had teeth at a very young age even as a baby. He was spot to be sprouting his two lower middle teeth at just 4mo!
See his cute baby face then.

Being my firstborn, I documented each of his teeth as they grow here with its dates and even a Tooth Chart! Haha.

A.CENTRAL INCISOR
B.LATERAL INCISOR
C.CANINE / CUSPID
D.FIRST MOLAR
E.SECOND MOLAR

Shern is a good boy. He started brushing his teeth at a young age and he went for his 1st visit to the dentist at 3yo. He now still brushes his teeth religiously at least twice a day.

Shern started losing his first tooth - Bottom Left Central Incisor, at the end of last year on 15 Dec 2014.

21 Dec 2014

A month later, he lost his 2nd tooth - Bottom Right Central Incisor a month later on 18 Jan 2015.

18 Jan 2015

After the two bottom teeth lost, no other teeth were shaky, and his two bottom permanent teeth grew a month or so later.
And so he was with a full set of teeth (2 permanent lower teeth and the rest baby teeth) for the whole of this year....until beginning of this month.

On 2 Nov 2015, Shern lost his first shaky upper tooth - Upper Left Central Incisor. A few teeth next to it were shaking too.
2 Nov 2015

It was 11 days later on 13 Nov 2015 that he lost his next tooth Upper Right Lateral Incisor, and this is him giving me a smile in the morning after. :)
14 Nov 2015

As for his Upper Right Central Incisor tooth, it was shaking quite a lot and was just dangling by just a teeny bit for many days until it dropped off just a few days ago on 23 Nov 2015.
23 Nov 2015

Finally yesterday 24 November 2015, Shern lost his final shaky tooth, the Upper Left Lateral Incisor, just two days ago.
He came back from school and told me he lost it when his friends accidentally knocked his teeth while playing Zombie game in school. Well, boys will be boys.
24 Nov 2015

It was quite a shock for us too, to have so many shaky teeth (4 at the same time) and for him to be losing them so fast!

And that was how Shern lost 4 upper teeth in less than a month.

As of now, there are no more shaky tooth. Let's hope it stays this way for a while.
And nope, Shern is NOT wishing for his front teeth this Christmas. He doesn't care much bout that.

He is wishing for something else, though I think you all can guess what is that! haha!

Oh ya, I think I spot just a teeny bit of teeth under his gums, so I guess he will be having new teeth soon!

p/s - He still believes in the Tooth Fairy who puts 50 cents under his pillow for every tooth lost! ;D

Khye the Threenager

Yiu-Khye @ 3 Years 2 Months

Khye being the late bloomer experiences none of the terrible two when he was two years old. But I think I spoke too soon.
Now that he is three, Khye has been throwing tantrums and crying for no reason for the past few weeks.

So there was no Terrible Two stage....but progressed into the current Threenager stage!

And today was one of the days. He did not nap after school in mum's house. So when I went over at 6pm for dinner, he was already crying because I switched off his Barney show on tv which he had already been watching for hours!
It took me quite a long time to eventually make him stop crying and to feed him his dinner.

And when it was time to go home, he was still kicking a fuss because he wanted to get into the car first. Shen koko being so nice let Khye get into the car first, but it was still not enough for the naughty Khye. He still cried because koko buckled up first! "_"

And so Khye was crying away and he refused to get into his carseat. We tried some cajouling and talking to him nicely but he still would not budge. And we starting scolding and threatening him but it did not work also.
So in the end hubby carried Khye and buckled him into his seat while he was struggling and shouting 'no seatbelt' (don't want seatbelt) !

And after much crying he vomitted his dinner out. Sigh. Luckily only his carseat was soiled and not the car.
But stil it was another messy affair, with me taking Khye for a shower and hubby taking out the carseat for a wash.
The cover was sent for washing and we had some hard time removing his vomit from some hard-to-reach crevices in the carseat.

And so this is just one of the episode of Khye being a threenager.
I hope this phase will pass soon. It is not easy dealing with a threenager and a 4-month-old at the same time.

p/s - By the way, Shern was being such an angel today. He came to me with tears in his eyes asking me not to beat Khye, as he didn't want Khye to be hurt. ;)

Potty Training Khye - Pee & Poo

Potty Training Khye @ 37 mo - 5 Sep 2015

Unlike his brother Shern who was half-potty trained at 33 months ( I said half because he still wore diapers to sleep at night), Khye was not ready at 33 months old.
In fact, Khye was still not ready last month when I tried.

How did I know he was not ready then? Well, I tried a few months ago.
I took out his diapers and he cried, wailing for me to wear him his diapers.
A month later, I tried again and when he peed on the floor, he sat on his own pool of pee and played with his pee! "_"

Well, I let him be. I mean, I didn't have the heart nor the energy to push him. I knew he would be ready soon.
I knew because Khye has grown up pretty fast all of a sudden since he turned 3yo. He had his first happy haircut, went to the doctor without being scared, and his vocabulary widened so much since then.

So on 5th Sep 2015, Thursday, we took off his diapers and he did not protest. First step successful.
Then we told him to let us know when he wanted to pee.

Both Khye and I were really happy with his first pee in the toilet bowl!
Below was what I posted on my blog fb page:

First time Khye pee-ed in the toilet today! He was as excited as me as we both watched his pee trickled down the toilet bowl! Haha!
He used to hate those child potty but now ok with the toilet bowl.
Khye is a late-bloomer in potty training but we are both glad he is ready now at age 3 yrs 2 mths! ‪#‎limyiukhye‬ ‪#‎betterlatethannever‬ ‪#‎pottytraining‬

It was really a happy moment and I could see that Khye was also beaming away.
I encouraged him and praised him by clapping for him and let him flush the toilet himself, so he felt like a big boy indeed (well, this trick didn't work earlier on though but somehow it is working now!).

Day 1 could be considered quite successful already.
There was no accidents at all although there were 'fake calls', meaning he said he wanted to pee but when we brought him there, there was no pee. Many times in fact.

Day 2 Friday, I took the plunge and took off his diapers when we sent him to playschool. Told the teachers there to look out for him (and his pee! haha)! Teacher told me he had an accident once during outdoor play. Too engrossed with play I supposed. And the teachers said there were a few fake calls as well.

Day 3 was Saturday which was good because he was at home.
It was good. One accident though because he was crying and throwing tantrum and so he wet himself. "_"
Sorry, Khye is currently in his "threenager phase" at times. lol.

Day 4 Sunday, he was in grandma's house for the morning and mum said he even poo-ed in the potty!
I was soooo happy! And no pee accidents at all!
(It was the same thing for Shern when he achieved pee accident-free day on Day 4 on his potty training)

Day 5 & 6 was Deepavali break.
No pee accidents as well, except for once which he refused to pee as it was during middle of his crying episode (remember him being a threenager now?)
Khye pooed in Ah-Ma's house and everyone there clapped for him much to his delight!
And Khye even went to the restaurant and mall without diapers! He peed in the public toilet so I am really proud of him.

Day 7 was the real test as it was school day again. And I am proud to announce that the teacher reported no accidents! Yay!

ANd so it has been a week and I must say that Khye is progressing really well. So I can say that pee and poo training can be considered quite successful as of now.

So I just need to soldier on!!!

Review: Sudio VASA Earphone in Rose Gold White

It was good that I had the opportunity to try out Sudio's earphones because before this I am not a music person. Let's see what is this Sudio's earphones all about - Sudio VASA Earphone.

WHAT AND WHO IS SUDIO?

Sudio stands for elegant products with studio quality sound and exquisite quality. They want their customers should be proud of wearing and using their products. They strive for perfection in their customer service and they will always make sure customers get the a wow experience.

PACKAGING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

It came in a small, bubble-wrapped package.

Underneath the bubble-wrap, was another bubble-wrapped paper with the brand name Sudio in it. Unwrapping that was another layer or transparent zip-locked bag which protected the Sudio earphone box.

The box itself was also sealed with a thin layer of plastic.
I must say that the product was well protected with its many layers of protective packaging.

This is the front and back of the box, and the side. The design of the box is simple yet classy
The front featuring a large photo of the product, name of model and my chosen colour - VASA in Rose Gold White.

So now unboxing it revealed 2 smaller boxes inside the box.
One box with the words SUDIO VASA, and the other LEATHER CASE , ACCESSORIES and OWNER'S MANUAL.

Opening up the boxes, and this is what you see, all laid out on the table, quite a lot of things for such a small box.

This is the star, the Sudio VASA in Rose Gold White earphones

VASA is one of Sudio's premium models, which features a 10.2 mm driver, a full-feature 3-button and mic for both Android and iOS.

Below is the driver's details:Type: 10,2 mm Dynamic Speaker
Sensitivity: 113 dB SPL @ 1 kHz
Impedance: 32 Ohm @ 1kHz
Frequency Response: 18 Hz - 23 kHz

This new driver claims that it enables the user to hear every detail, in every instrument, in every song, giving the user a unique and unforgettable sound experience every time.

This I don't think I can vouch it all because this is a big claim. But I can say that the sound experience is pretty amazing when compared to even my trusty Apple earphones. Sound is more sharp, smooth and clear.

As for design wise, it is much more than pleasing. It is really beautiful with its high polished metal parts finished in rose gold. It has since been an envy of many.

And as I am using the gold iPhone 6, this VASA in Rose Gold White earphone is the perfect companion for it!

It came with 4 different sizes of earphone sleeves to my surprise. I appreciate this a lot as I tried the different sizes and found that the smallest sleeve gave me a right fit which is not too big nor too small . This choice of the right earphone sleeve size ensures maximum comfort during use.

It also came with a metal cable clip for you to clip your earphone to your shirt, which truthfully I don't use much but it is a nice extra to have.

What I love most of the accessories is the classy genuine leather carrying case and mine came in white to match my rose gold/white earphone.

I hate tangled-up earphones in my bag and so I really appreciate the carrying case. This case ensures no more tangled up mess in my bag.

The case is also compact and just the right size to pop into any of my bag, even my small crossbody bag.

All Sudio earphones come with a Guarantee Certifcate to give you peace of mind as well.

To the impatient ones like me, there is a Quick Start card to help you get started on how to use immediately.

There is also an owner's manual that came with it, so fret not for those who loves reading manuals. But nothing much there that you can't find in the Quick Start card to be honest.

What actually won me over is this simple yet magical 3-button remote.
When it says full-feature, I didn't know it can be sooo amazing.

Besides the basic pause and play, you can practically control everything using these 3 buttons.

One push - Play/pause

Two pushes - Forward
Three pushes - Backwards.
One push and hold down on the second - Fast forward
Two pushes and hold down on the third - Rewind.
Hold down on One push - opens up Siri

It can even open up your Siri by holding down on one push, isn't it amazing? I call it the magic buttons!
So you basically do not need to take out your phone from your pocket/bag unless you really wanted to see the title of your song or read the lyrics which are displayed on your phone.

I've been bringing out my VASA earphones almost everywhere I go, especially in the mornings when both my 2 older kids are away in school, and just left me with my 3mo baby.
When he is asleep, I can take out my earphones and enjoy my morning break with clear and smooth songs in my ear.

The earphones can also be used as a fashion accessory, VASA being so nice and posh and such. It is something you want to be seen with to be sure.

Sudio VASA and a cuppa iced chocolate.

Sudio VASA and with New York Bagels, and Toasted Sandwiches, perfect morning breaks.

Sudio VASA and McDonald's Coconut Caramel Sundae and a cuppa Coca-cola Frozen to chill.
Sudio VASA with a bowl of Guai Lin Gou to cool off the hazy days.

Sudio VASA and a glass of my favourite Miam Miam's Matcha Latte with Matcha Softee on a hot day.Sudio VASA and a hot Chocolate Souffle for a warm late night dessert.

I would recommend this to someone who wants a good yet stylish earphones. I would say that Sudio is successful in putting quality AND beauty into their earphones.
